On Saturday 4th July, the streets of Abingdon were awash with pink as local businesses, charities and residents came together for Paint Abingdon Pink, a fantastic community fundraising event supporting Against Breast Cancer.
Taylor-Made Mobility was delighted to be headline sponsors of this year’s event, spending the sunny Saturday meeting local people, raising money for an incredible cause, and enjoying everything that makes the Abingdon community so special.
From the moment the market square began filling with visitors, there was a wonderful atmosphere. Families, friends and local businesses came together to support breast cancer research while enjoying a packed programme of entertainment and activities throughout the day.
Visitors were treated to live performances by a talented local choir, children’s entertainment including face painting, fundraising stalls, games, and even a surprise appearance by Darth Vader and his Star Wars companions, who proved just as popular with adults as with children.

It was wonderful to see so many people giving their time, energy, and generosity to help make such an important event a success.
Throughout the day, our team welcomed hundreds of visitors to the Taylor-Made Mobility stand.

Many people stopped to chat about how we help homeowners remain safe, independent, and comfortable through accessible home adaptations, while others took part in our fundraising activities.

Our three fundraising competitions proved incredibly popular:
Events like Paint Abingdon Pink remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a supportive local community.
As a family-run business based in Oxfordshire, our work is built around helping people continue living safely and independently in the homes they love. Supporting local charities and community initiatives is something that naturally aligns with those values.
Every raffle ticket purchased, every competition entry, and every donation contributes towards the vital work carried out by Against Breast Cancer. The charity funds life-saving breast cancer research, develops new treatments, and works to improve outcomes for people affected by the disease. Knowing that our fundraising efforts contribute to this important work made the day even more meaningful.
We’d like to thank everyone who visited our stand, entered our competitions, donated to the cause, stopped for a chat, and gave up their time to help organise such a brilliant community event.
The event showcased exactly what community fundraising is all about: people coming together, supporting one another, and making a real difference.
We’re already looking forward to next year.
