The work that Taylor-Made did on my property was spectacular. There was complete attention to detail. They listened, they cared, they treated my house like it was their house that they were working on. they went above and beyond. When they encountered problems in the house that hadn't been anticipated, they simply pivoted and made course corrections and ensured that the problem was solved and that the issue was fixed before moving on with the project. They had to do a lot more work than we had originally anticipated but they still came in on time with the project because of the dedication of the whole team who worked tirelessly. And when I found a couple of small snagging issues after being in the house for a couple of weeks they came back and fixed them immediately with no complaints. The really are a wonderful company who are dedicated to their customers and their needs. My accessible home means so much more to me because the team who made it accessible poured themselves into it and really gave so much to ensure that my home would be accessible not only now but into the future as well. Incredible team, amazing work, fantastic eye to detail. Would recommend this company to everybody looking for people to work on their home, driveway, or roof because Taylor-Made have the skills and they have the team of dedicated people who will work hard and treat your home with the respect it deserves.

I'm pleased I chose Taylor Made Mobility to provide my bathroom conversion. James and Jay, who installed it, were so hard working, friendly and respectful. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was clearly explained each day and they answered all of my questions. Paul looked after me as promised, keeping my son informed of progress and checking on me every day. I am very happy with the end result and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Many thanks for your patience and your hard work. Sheila Thomas

I’m absolutely delighted with my bathroom makeover by Taylor-Made Mobility. From start to finish, the team have been professional and reliable. Paul set out a perfect design plan for me which has transformed the space into a bright, modern, and beautifully finished bathroom, thoughtfully designed with comfort and independence in mind. The whole installation by James plus electical work by Alan was efficient, tidy, and handled with real care. Fixtures were fitted with precision and the area kept tidy throughout the project. Everyone involved communicated clearly with me throughout, which made the whole process surprisingly stress‑free. I was so impressed with how they listened to what I wanted and offered thoughtful suggestions that genuinely improved the final result. I couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s safe, stylish, and so easy to look after. I’d recommend Taylor-Made Mobility without hesitation to anyone looking for a high‑quality, trustworthy team for a bathroom renovation. I can honestly say my expectations have been exceeded.

We were very happy with our experience with Taylor-Made. Paul took account of my husband's needs and our preferences when designing our wet room. The work was carried out to a very high standard by fitters who were a pleasure to have in the house. They were always on time and left everything clean and tidy at the end of the day. As a result we have a lovely bathroom which looks great as well as being practical and safe for someone with restricted mobility.

We have a had a wonderful experience with Taylor-Mobility. The results have been transformative. The designer/manager Paul was very attentive, considered making our en-suite useable! It was clear the fitter James too had a sense of pride in what they do. No gaps, sloppy sealants or drains that don’t work. There is NO water outside the show door on the mat. The door has handles on inside and out in right places that are solid. The shower head is wonderful. The work was done in the days allotted with minimum of fuss care and tidying up so as not impact the rest of the house. They were also *affordable* Paul designed with concern that we did not have massive budget and looked to what would get the bathroom working again and swapped in their own sink free of charge! All in all I can without hesitation recommend them as they know the impact of what they can do can make and do not pump up price (rather do the opposite). The work was done very efficiently - checked every day by the manager. Both showed pride in their work and doing a goood job. As we get older more is going to be needed and I am so glad to have found them! Highly recommend.

Paul was an absolute pleasure to work with; he could not have been more proactive, kind and helpful. We were working within a very tight time schedule which could have proved extremely challenging. Paul however coordinated a rebuild, purchasing of all bathroom supplies, changes to electrics & plumbing, plastering and redecorating in the space of 6 weeks from our first meeting to having a completed fantastic accessible bathroom for a wheelchair user. It goes without saying I would highly recommend Taylor-Made Mobility from start to finish. The attention to detail and care taken with their clients is second to none. Thank you Paul.

Knee arthritis means baths are now out of the question, so decided to have bath ripped out and replaced by a walk-in shower. At the design stage Paul visited twice to ensure I’d be happy with the plans we’d worked out together. Set aside a week for the job, but was done very efficiently in three days by Paul’s craftsman. Thanks to both for a high level of personal service and a job well done. Can recommend without reservation.

This is the second time we have used Paul to adapt a shower and again he came up trumps, solving problems and providing exactly what was needed. All done with kindness and humour and James the fitter was excellent. Can't thank him enough.

The experience of working with Taylor Made Mobility to install an accessible shower for my Mum was very positive. At no stage did we feel rushed, pressured, or upsold and Paul went to great pains to include me in the process via online meetings and emails, as I was in another time zone and unable to be present in person. Paul let us know when we should expect the team to arrive, what the plan was each day, and how long it would take. They fulfilled these expectations. He communicated throughout and sent photos to me of the work when it was done. During the installation, my mum ended up needing some medical attention and was briefly away from home but the team found a way to work around the situation and complete the job as planned. They returned as soon as it was convenient for Mum to put up some finishing touches at the correct height for her. This was just one example of the thoughtfulness and courtesy with which they treated my Mum. It may not be the cheapest option but I would say that the good service, quality materials, and well thought out accessibility features are worth it. Thank you, Paul, and team!

Accessible Bathrooms Designed Around Your Daily Routine

No two people use their bathroom in the same way. That’s why accessible bathrooms are never treated as a standard installation.

Instead, your new accessible bathroom installation is carefully designed around:

  • How you use the space day to day
  • What currently feels difficult or unsafe
  • Whether support, seating or mobility aids are needed
  • How to make movement easier and more comfortable.

The goal is always the same: create a mobility-friendly bathroom that feels practical, supportive, and easy to use every day.

What are the Benefits of Accessible Bathroom Installation?

The benefits of accessibility bathrooms in Oxfordshire

When a bathroom no longer works as it should, the impact can be significant.

Daily routines may take longer, feel more physically demanding or require assistance. Over time, this can affect both independence and confidence within the home.

A new accessible bathroom installation helps address this by simplifying the space and removing unnecessary barriers.

This can:

  • Reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls
  • Make washing and personal care easier to manage
  • Improve comfort and confidence
  • Support independent living at home

For many people, adapting the bathroom is one of the most effective ways to maintain quality of life without moving homes.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How much do home mobility adaptations cost in the UK?

The cost of home mobility adaptations varies depending on the type of solution, the size of the space, and the level of customisation required. For example, a walk-in shower installation may start from a few thousand pounds, whereas home lifts or full wet room conversions can be higher due to structural work.

Taylor Made Mobility provides free consultations and tailored quotes so homeowners receive accurate pricing based on their needs rather than generic estimates.  We also:

  • Operate in and around Oxfordshire, meaning reduced turn around times
  • Ensure low operating costs so there are no unnecessary overheads for customers
  • We promise no outside investors, meaning there will be no need to pay investors wages and dividends

Our simplest solution “shower pod” can be installed quickly and prices start at approximately £3,000. Walk-in shower prices start at approximately £4,500. Wet rooms start at approximately £7,000.

Straight stair lifts start at under £1500, curved and home lifts are dependent on the property type length of travel and finishing.

What types of accessible home adaptations do you install?

Taylor Made Mobility specialises in a range of mobility and accessibility solutions, including:

  • Walk-in showers
  • Wet rooms
  • Accessible shower cubicles
  • Stairlifts
  • Home lifts
  • Bathroom safety modifications

Each installation is bespoke and designed around the individual’s mobility level and long-term needs.

How long does an accessible bathroom installation take?

Most accessible bathroom installations, such as walk-in showers or wet rooms, can typically be completed within a few days to a week depending on complexity. Larger structural projects, like home lift installations, may take longer. Timelines are always discussed in advance so homeowners can plan with confidence.

Are mobility adaptations suitable for elderly and disabled homeowners?

Yes. Mobility adaptations are designed specifically for elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and anyone experiencing reduced mobility. These solutions help improve independence, safety, and quality of life within the home environment.

Can I get funding or grants for home accessibility adaptations?

In some cases, homeowners may be eligible for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) or local authority funding to support accessibility improvements. Taylor Made Mobility can provide guidance on the process and help clients understand what financial assistance options may be available.

Are accessible bathrooms and stairlifts covered by warranty?

Yes. Reputable mobility adaptation installations typically include product warranties and workmanship guarantees. This ensures peace of mind and long-term reliability for installations such as stairlifts, wet rooms, and accessible showers.

Do you work with occupational therapists or care professionals?

Yes. Many mobility adaptation projects involve collaboration with occupational therapists, carers, or healthcare professionals to ensure the installation meets both medical and practical requirements.

Can mobility adaptations increase property value?

While the primary goal is safety and accessibility, well-designed accessible bathrooms and home lifts can positively influence property value by making the home suitable for a wider range of buyers and future-proofing the space.

What areas do you cover for mobility adaptation services?

Taylor Made Mobility provides home accessibility solutions across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas, helping local homeowners access trusted, specialist installation services close to home.
